It is an important priority for IST Austria to make life for scientists as easy as possible. These efforts comprise a kindergarten on campus, with English and German speaking caregivers, for children aged 1-6 years. The day care center has two groups and is open throughout the year from Monday to Friday between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm.

An elementary school near the campus and the middle/high school in Klosterneuburg offer English language tracks and the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma. Vienna, of course, has several public and private international schools.
