Young Scientist Symposium 2013

The concept of shape touches on many areas of research ranging from shape description in mathematics, shape formation during development and evolution and shape perception in computer vision and neuroscience. This has led to a number of different approaches and methodologies being developed independently in isolation from each other.

The post-docs and students of the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (IST Austria) cordially invite you to their second IST Austria Young Scientist Symposium. The one-day multi-disciplinary symposium on

Understanding shape: in silico and in vivo

on Friday April 26, 2013, 9am to 7pm at IST Austria

is entirely organized by young scientists. It will encompass six general talks and a panel discussion on diverse topics covering description, formation, and perception of shape.

For information and registration view the symposium website.
