IST Austria opens its doors - Come and join the research party at the IST Austria campus in Klosterneuburg! Experience the world of science at the interactive research islands prepared by IST Austria research groups. Hands-on experiments let children discover the fun of research. Go on a guided tour of the campus, and take a look at the labs or the machine shop. Listen to the family lecture and enjoy the science comedy. Music and food round off the program.

13.00-14.00 Opening and award ceremony for school competition „Kräfte entdecken“
13.00-17.00 Guided tours (registration at Information point)
14.00-17.00 Research islands: computer science, biology, mathematics, neuroscience; workshops, experiments etc. for children
14.30-15.30 Family lecture: „Was ist Zufall ?“ by Caroline Uhler, IST Austria
16.00-17.00 Science comedy „Kräfte entdecken“ by Bernhard Weingartner
17.00 Concluding competition „throwing water balloons“
Music and food/drinks are available from 12.00 onwards.

Getting to IST Austria:
Free shuttle bus starting at 11:12 Uhr from Vienna Heiligenstadt (later at 12 min after every hour).
Public transportation: Bus #239 every 30 min departing from Vienna Heiligenstadt to Maria Gugging.
By car: limited parking space
