RESEARCH INTEREST

Genomics and transcriptomics of host-pathogen interactions

My PhD thesis focuses on the genomic and transcriptomic level of interactions between microbial pathogens and their hosts. The utilisation of next generation sequencing (NGS) technologies offers a vast potential to reveal these interactions. Using NGS data of bacterial and fungal pathogens and their hosts, I study pathogen evolution and the dynamics of host responses, with a particular focus on social immunisation.
