March 14 was declared International Day of Mathematics (IDM) by the UNESCO. The English spelling of the date 3-14 reminds of the number Pi.
The University of Vienna and other partner institutions invite you to the International Mathematics Day at the Vienna University of Technology on March 14, 2020. The motto is "Mathematics is everywhere”.
At interactive stations, visitors learn more about current research and its diverse areas of application. During the parallel series of lectures, scientists talk about the number Pi and how it can be calculated, the connection of topology, algorithms and data, and much more.
