I will present a power-saving estimate in the restricted sup-norm problem of Maass forms for SL_2 over the Gaussian integers, assuming bounded spectral parameter and increasing dimension of the associated SL_2-type. Joint work with Valentin Blomer, Gergely Harcos and Djordje Milievi.
