Minister Heinisch-Hosek visits IST Austria Campus

Minister for Woman impressed by Gender and Diversity activities

Gabriele Heinisch-Hosek, the Federal Minister for Women and the Civil Service, today visited the Institute of Science and Technology Austria. President Thomas Henzinger gave the Minister a status report informing her on the recent developments of IST Austria. Julia Asimakis, in charge of Gender and Diversity at IST Austria’s Human Ressources, briefed Heinisch-Hosek on the institute’s activities in this field. After a meeting with PhD Students Magdalena Steinrück and Sebastian Novak, and Postdocs Janina Kowalski and Philipp Schönenberger, Heinisch-Hosek received a lab tour by Professor Daria Siekhaus. The Minister expressed her appreciation for the institute’s scientific achievements as well as its activities in the field of gender and diversity.
