Alumni Relations Manager

- € 3,300* gross/month
Your Responsibilities
As part of the Communications team, you will build up and maintain an active global network of our alumni who are leaving ISTA to pursue their careers within or outside academia. For this purpose, you will plan, implement, and promote alumni activities supporting the Institute’s strategic goals as well as set up operational alumni structures and processes.
- Design and implement an innovative ISTA alumni relations program that is competitive, scalable, effective, and global
- Conduct internal stakeholder and benchmarking analyses, taking into account the diverse alumni profiles of students, academic as well as administrative staff
- Implement and evolve the program in close collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders at ISTA
- Drive alumni relations from creating to maintaining relevant structures (incl. alumni database), processes, and measures
- Contribute content pieces on alumni matters for ISTA channels and manage channels targeting alumni (e.g. alumni website, newsletter)
- Proactively approach the ISTA community to lay the foundation for an engaging alumni network
- Develop and organize regular alumni events and coordinate the annual ISTA Alumni Award ceremony
- Provide data and reporting on the alumni program (e.g. annual report)
Your Profile
- Completed higher education
- Experience in public relations, fundraising, or stakeholder management
- Experience in strategic development and project management
- Basic understanding of communications tools such as CRM software, newsletters, CMS, social media
- Excellent communication skills in English; command of German is considered an asset
- Enthusiastic communicator and networker with a confident appearance who seeks to build strong ties with the ISTA community
- High affinity towards science, scientific background advantageous
- International mindset, strong team player, and hands-on mentality
- Structured thinking incl. project management skills, self-organized, and independent working style
