Internship IT Support

Your Responsibilities
Excellent research needs state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and innovative digital services. With a team of about 50 experts, we redesign the Institute's digital landscape over the next few years and implement an ambitious digital transformation programme to facilitate the Institute’s rapid growth. As part of our IT & Digital Transformation strategy, we are introducing Microsoft 365 and will equip new office building with digital workplace equipment. The IT Support team is the primary point of contact for all users and ensures smooth IT operations across the institute. During this internship, you will support key IT projects over the summer period, including device deployment, digital workplace setup, and the Microsoft 365 roll-out. Depending on your focus area, you will contribute to: Digital Workspace, Microsoft 365 and Intune, and General IT Support.
- Preparation, setup, and configuration of end-user devices (laptops, peripherals)
- Support in an office relocation and workspace setup project
- On-site installation and commissioning of IT equipment
- Standardisation and optimisation of digital workspaces
- Documentation and asset management
- Assistance with Intune-based device management and deployment
- Support with Microsoft 365 roll-out activities (e.g. Teams, Outlook, collaboration tools)
- Basic user support related to M365 services and tools
- First-level support via ticketing system, phone, or in person
Your Profile
- Ongoing Bachelor's degree (ideally 2nd year completed) or higher in IT or a related field
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, hardware, and operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux)
- Interest in IT support, device management, and/or modern workplace technologies
- First experience with M365, or Intune is a plus
- Structured and reliable working style
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Very good written and verbal command of English
- Motivated to proactively support the team and eager to learn (please outline your motivation in your cover letter)
