Research Management Coordinator

Your Responsibilities
Join our team in the Faculty Office, and take on a dynamic role that oversees and coordinates processes that lie at the interface between the three Research Areas at ISTA – Life Sciences, Mathematical and Physical Sciences, and Information and Systems Sciences - and various academic divisions to support the growth of ISTA.
- Drive initiatives and systematic improvements to onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing faculty; Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify challenges and implement effective solutions for a seamless transition
- Manage topics at the intersection of academic and administrative areas including organizing and facilitating key meetings to ensure effective communication flow across those interfaces
- Facilitate the alignment of strategic initiatives with day-to-day operations, by acting as a bridge to ensure that policies are effectively translated into actionable tasks
- Oversee the timeline management of key academic milestones of faculty at ISTA such as annual reviews and evaluations
- Engage in other tasks in the Faculty Office, such as data management and coordination of committees
Your Profile
- Higher education degree (B.A./B.Sc. or equivalent) in any relevant field; ideally further education/training in project management
- Work experience in research management in an international academic environment and project management
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Structured, analytical, self-organized, and highly reliable working style
- Excellent command of English, knowledge of German is beneficial but not required
- Strong organizational skills for building up structures and implementing procedures
- Proactive, solution-oriented attitude for identifying topics that require attention and prioritize requirements
