Summer Internship Communications

- € 1,753 to € 2,044* gross/month depending on level of education (basis full-time 40 h/w) – Duration: 3 months (Full time) or 4 months (Part time) between June and September
Your Responsibilities
Scientists at ISTA are constantly delivering cutting-edge science. To explain their results in a way that they are also understood by people outside their specific fields – and the general public – is one of the central tasks of the Communications team at ISTA. The internship offers you the opportunity to support our creative team by contributing to creating and distributing impactful content – with a focus on texting and media relations. Our team will be supporting and guiding you in making use of your particular strengths. Your core tasks will include:
- Support preparation of media materials about the Institute and its fundamental research
- Research for and prepare distribution of press releases
- As needed: Assisting with other communication tasks, including internal communications, alumni relations, web and social media
- Depending on experience: Occasional support of media production (storytelling, video, photography, graphics)
- Administrative support of the team
Your Profile
- Ongoing degree in natural sciences, journalism, communications or similar
- Interested in science communication and/or journalism
- Service-oriented and diligent way of working
- Excited to proactively support our team and eager to learn
- Very good command of written and spoken English (Institute language: English)
