Henzinger gives invited talk at Cornell

IST Austria President Thomas Henzinger last week participated in the 50th Anniversary Symposium of the Computer Science Department of Cornell University (Ithaca, NY). In the talk on October 2 titled  “A Research Institute as Start-up” Henzinger explained: “It does not happen often that a new scientific institution is founded. We present the decisions that have gone into the development of IST Austria, which we believe will pave the way for the Institute to join the league of leading research institutions in the world. “

The computer science department at Cornell is regarded one of the most renowned training and research institutions in this field in the US and beyond. Henzinger was Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Cornell from 1992 to 1995.
